About the Journal

Focus and Scope

The WGA publishes articles pertaining to Guthrie and his musical, political and artistic associations, as well as book and record reviews, news, interviews, and notices of relevant events. Overall, the journal’s aim is to realize the objectives most succinctly expressed by the Woody Guthrie Foundation: “the preservation and dissemination of information about Woody Guthrie’s vast cultural legacy.”

Publication Frequency

The Woody Guthrie Annual will be published once per year in December

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
