Manuscript Submissions

The editors invite manuscripts of 7,000–10,000 words (excluding captions and footnotes) throughout the year. Authors should submit their manuscripts electronically to:

Will Kaufman, Managing Editor wkaufman@uclan.ac.uk

Submission Guidelines

Please send manuscripts and illustrations as separate files (Microsoft Word or Pages). Illustrations should be low resolution and small enough to send via email, and accompanied by a caption list.  All submissions should also include a 250-word abstract and a list of keywords for indexing purposes. Separate keywords should be separated by a semi colon (;). The abstract, keywords, author’s name, and contact information should appear on a separate cover sheet only; manuscripts should include a title on the first page. All manuscripts will be subject to blind peer review. All submissions will be acknowledged upon receipt.

Style Guidelines

Text and notes should follow the Chicago Manual of Style, 16th Edition. Please see http://www.chicagomanualofstyle.org/tools_citationguide.html for sample citations.  The article should be double-spaced and in a 12-point font. Notes should appear at the end of the text.

For the final manuscript, the author must provide high-resolution images for the article as well as copyright permissions to reproduce them in the e-journal. A sample photo permission request letter will be provided to authors.

Caption Format
